Four separate concepts
Rental pays for the period. An advance payment, if required, relates to booking confirmation. The deposit secures obligations under the agreement. The excess concerns costs for a covered insurance claim; it is not a universal liability limit.
Payment, refund and deductions
The car's security deposit is returned after the vehicle is inspected for damage. Return it with the same fuel level as at collection. Check the agreement for the refund method and any deduction conditions.
Before paying, obtain the selected offer's payment method and timing, refund method and deadline, deduction grounds and evidence required for damage. Check currency and bank fees separately.
Record the condition at collection and return and keep the handover record. The deposit amount does not automatically determine every deduction.
Booking advance is not the deposit
High-season car bookings require a 1000 THB advance payment, which is not refunded if the customer cancels. In low season, we usually do not take an advance payment; a customer cancellation cancels the booking. The booking advance and refundable security deposit are separate amounts. Confirm the season and terms for your dates before paying.

The deposit is shown on the selected vehicle's card separately from the rental. Amounts vary between cars and scooters, so use the specific option rather than just the model or category.
Is the deposit included in the daily rate?
No. Rental and deposit are shown separately. Budget for the whole rental period, agreed extras and the deposit. Do not count the deposit as rental price when comparing vehicle rates.
Can the insurance excess be higher than the deposit?
Yes. The amounts serve different purposes and need not match. A small deposit does not mean the same maximum liability for damage. Check the selected car's excess and exclusions before confirmation.
